Newsome Law Firm filed a class action lawsuit against Schering-Plough Corporation, a prescription drug company, for its fraudulent marketing, promotion, and sales schemes.

Schering-Plough is a multi-billion dollar corporation with worldwide operations, employing over 32,000 employees in 58 countries. As alleged in the Complaint filed on April 20, 2007, Schering-Plough engaged in unfair and deceptive practices by offering illegal inducements to physicians to encourage the prescription of its drugs rather than alternative treatment options. This case has been filed in the wake of a federal investigation that led to Schering-Plough admitting to substantial wrongdoing. This federal investigation, however, did not address or compensate individuals and other members of the Class who were also harmed by Schering-Plough's unfair sales and marketing practices. This class action was filed in an effort to provide justice for individual consumers.
