Dodge Issues Another Recall for the Avenger

Dodge has issued another recall for the 2008 Avenger. On certain models equipped with All Wheel Drive, the fuel tank straps were manufactured improperly making them more prone to break. If the straps break the tank will loosen and could leak fuel. If the fuel were to come in contact with the exhaust system or some other ignition source, it could cause a fire. Dealers will inspect the fuel tank retention straps and replace defective straps free of charge.
